Friedrich by Hans peter Richter is about a boy named Friedrich who is Jewish. Frederic’s life is perfect and all his friends are jealous. Everything was great until Adolf Hitler came to power. While Hitler was in power, Jewish lives were changed. In a small period of time many Jews were homeless, hungry, and killed. Friedrich faced many obstacles during this period of time such as being expelled from school, having an early curfew, and being chased by Nazis. Friedrich’s mother was executed and his father deported. After a huge bombing, Friedrich was killed as well.
