Magician's Nephew by CS Lewis, is about a boy and girl, named Polly and Digory, seeking adventure after they soon find out they are neighbors. One bad estimation leads them into Digory's "mad" Uncle Andrew's study. At first Uncle Andrew wants to experiment on them,but then decide to trick Polly into testing his transportation ring that sends anything it touches to another world. Digory rescues Polly,but they decide instead of going home to explore! The children go to a world that looks destroyed. The kids find a mallet with a bell,red the warning,and without thinking Digory fights Polly and rings the bell.Then a beautiful witch comes to life and enchants Digory. When the place starts collapsing even more, the witch uses her power to get them out. When the Kids accidently transport the witch with them to London. She soon tries to take over London. Kids then get ahold of witch, as well as the cabby and cabby hores she was riding on, and transported them to the world of nothing. Singigng starts and a world starts growing. All around them;trees,water,animals all started appearing. Then when the leader of the world,Aslan, is appauled that Digory bought  the witch. Aslan sends  Digory to a garden to find an apple that they will plant, so that it will protect the world called Narnia. when digory is about to leave he sees the witch, runs, but is stopped with questions that were meant to tempt him to betray Aslan. Digory was smarter than the witch and made it back to Aslan, planted the tree, and was sent home with an apple to cure his ill mother.
